Description
There's nothing like a summer break at Mottau, a hamlet of a few mayens high above the village of La Forclaz, in the middle of the meadows, to get away from it all and get back to nature, away from all the stress. Splendid views over the entire Alpine panorama of the Val d'Hérens. Typical mayen comprising a fully renovated kitchen, an old wood-burning cooker and a large living room with a large table, a stone fireplace, a double bed (160x200) and a sofa bed for 2 people (160x200). Wood-fired heating. Electricity. Ideal occupancy 2 people (max. 4 people). Ground floor laundry room with toilet, washbasin and washing machine, but no shower. Freezer. Terrace in front of the chalet and to the side. Tables, chairs and parasol available. Barbecue.
Miscellaneous equipment: satellite TV, VHS player, microwave, Delizio coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine, freezer. 1 bag of wood provided per week.
Access: paid public car park (chf 40/week) at La Forclaz. Then access is by foot only, from the village of La Forclaz along a dirt road and/or footpath, in around half an hour. The agency does not offer transport to the mayen. Please take rucksacks and not suitcases as luggage.
Animals not allowed. Non-smoking accommodation. NO WIFI.
